My book is about to be published!

"I'm thrilled to share that my first children's book, 'The Foster Pup,' is about to be published. This project is deeply personal to me, as it reflects my life's journey and the profound impact of fostering on my family. As a father of six and grandfather of three, my experiences as a foster parent have shaped not only my perspective but also my storytelling. With over 40 years in the field of developmental differences, I've been honored with awards such as the Florida Governor’s Award for Building Better Communities and a Daily Point of Light Award. Despite these accolades, I've always seen myself as a storyteller, drawing inspiration from real-life moments. 'The Foster Pup' was born from my love for dogs and my belief in finding forever homes, whether for children or pets. Walking my two boxers around the neighborhood, I'm known as the 'dog guy,' but my connection with fostering began when my oldest son brought home a rescue dog during college. Learning about fostering pets opened my eyes to the parallel need for 'forever homes' for both pets and children. Through 'The Foster Pup,' I hope to inspire children to create a better future for all beings in need of love and security. It's a story of companionship, compassion, and the journey to finding one's place in the world. I can't wait to share it with readers of all ages."
