My book is about to be published!

"I'm thrilled to share that my first children's book, 'The Foster Pup,' is about to be published. This project is deeply personal to me, as it reflects my life's journey and the profound impact of fostering on my family. As a father of six and grandfather of three, my experiences as a foster parent have shaped not only my perspective but also my storytelling. With over 40 years in the field of developmental differences, I've been honored with awards such as the Florida Governor’s Award for Building Better Communities and a Daily Point of Light Award. Despite these accolades, I've always seen myself as a storyteller, drawing inspiration from real-life moments. 'The Foster Pup' was born from my love for dogs and my belief in finding forever homes, whether for children or pets. The Illustrator Allie Shaver

The illustrator of “The Foster Pup” is Allie Shaver, who discovered her love for drawing as a young girl and continued to enjoy it into adulthood. Although she initially saw drawing as a hobby, she never imagined she would be illustrating a book. Allie, has two sons and is a dog lover with three rescue dogs, she has teamed up with me to bring the story of “The Foster Pup” to life.
